Potin bien identifiable, sur un flan irrégulier et sans patine, mais avec de légères concrétons superficielles, au droit comme au revers. Droit et revers assez nets, avec de beaux reliefs

Obverse description : Tête à gauche, un bandeau dans les cheveux, un collier au cou. La chevelure est traitée en deux mèches partant en arrière. Début de grènetis (concentrique au listel) au-dessus de la tête.

Reverse description : Sanglier enseigne à gauche surmontant une hampe en forme de I bouleté.

The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC).
