Commentary
La pièce de un sol fut créée par décret du 26 avril 1793. Elle ne fut retirée de la circulation que par la loi du 6 mai 1852 et par le décret du 12 mars 1856. Ce type monétaire, sans millésime, fut frappé dans seulement six ateliers : Limoges, Marseille, Metz, Montpellier Pau, et Strasbourg.
