Flan large, idéalement centré des deux côtés. Superbe revers, finement détaillé et bien venu à la frappe. La monnaie a conservé une grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

JUSTIN I

Justin I, illiterate of Macedonian origin, was a brilliant military leader under the reigns of Zeno and Anastasius. At the time of his accession, he was commander-in-chief of the "excubitores" (guards) of Constantinople. He succeeded Anastasius and associated his nephew Justinian with power, who became co-emperor on April 4, 527. Justin died on the following August 1.
