Historical background

ITALY - kingdom of Etruria - CHARLES LOUIS MARIE-LOUISE

By the treaty of Luneville of February 9, 1801, Tuscany is ceded by Austria to the Infante of Spain Louis de Bourbon Parma, married Marie Louise of Spain, one of the daughters of Charles IV. The Treaty of Madrid of 21 March 1801 confirms the transfer from Parma to France. On August 2, Louis was proclaimed king of Etruria. He died May 27, 1803. His son Charles-Louis King is under the regency of his mother. His statements are incorporated into France December 10, 1807.
