ITALY - PAPAL STATES - CLEMENT V (Bertrand de Got)
(1305-1314)
Bertrand de Got was bishop of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, then archbishop of Bordeaux, before coming in 1305 under the name of Clement V, the 195th pope of the Catholic Church. He died on April 20, 1314 in Roquemaure. His tomb is in the collegiate church he had built in Uzeste.
