Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, centré des deux côtés. Très joli droit, un peu court en bordure inférieure de flan. Très beau revers, bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Commentary
Poids léger. La tête du lion est plus allongée avec la crinière bien visible.

IONIA - MILETUS
(6th - 5th century BC)
Miletus, founded in the 12th century BC, had been the seat of the Ionian Confederation. During the War of Liberation, it was crushed in 494 BC. Its cult of Apollo was renowned throughout Asia Minor. Its settlers founded, among others, the colonies of Abydos, Cyzicus, Sinope and Panticapaeum.
