The Kingdom of Holland replaced the Batavian Republic from 1806 to 1810. Napoleon I placed his brother Louis as its ruler. In 1810, this kingdom was incorporated into the French Empire. The Dutch colony of Java then minted coins bearing the initials of Louis Napoleon from 1806 to 1811.
