Commentary

Le traitement de la victoire est très particulier ; elle semble assise. Ce triens appartient au groupe très important “à la Victoire courant à droite”.
D’après les travaux de J. Lafaurie, ces monnaies sont regroupées parmi les frappes du Royaume franc de Bourgogne de 550/555 - 575/578.
Une similitude stykistique est à signaler avec la monnaie B. 5354 qui est attribuée à Nantes (cf. B. Leroy in AFAM hors série n° 3, 2008, p. 102, n° 27.
The treatment of Victory is very particular; she seems seated. This triens belongs to the very important group “with Victory running to the right”. According to the work of J. Lafaurie, these coins are grouped among the mintages of the Frankish Kingdom of Burgundy from 550/555 - 575/578. A stylistic similarity should be noted with the coin B. 5354 which is attributed to Nantes (cf. B. Leroy in AFAM special issue no. 3, 2008, p. 102, no. 27
