Historical background

HUNGARY - KINGDOM OF HUNGARY - LADISLAS VI

(1490-1516)

Ladislas II was king of Bohemia from 1471, then king of Hungary under the name of Ladislas VI from 1490. On his death in 1516, he left a ten-year-old son who succeeded him under the name of Louis II; this one will have to fight the troops of Suleiman the magnificent at the time of the invasion of 1526. Ladislas VI always accepted what one asked of him; this attitude earned him his nickname "king of agreement".
