HOLLAND - THE KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS - LOUIS NAPOLEON

(5/06/1806-13/12/1810)

Louis (2/09/1778-25/07/1846) accepts the throne of Holland June 6, 1806. Quarreled with his brother and trying to protect his dominions, he abdicated December 13, 1810. Holland is attached to the French Empire the same day. Louis is the husband of Hortense de Beauharnais and the father of Louis Napoleon (later Napoleon III).
