Bel exemplaire frappé sur un flan un peu court. Le droit est centré et de frappe vigoureuse, mais le revers est légèrement décentré. Patine grise de collection ancienne

Commentary

Ces deniers sont tantôt attribués aux Vindelici tantôt aux Helvètes ; ils circulèrent vraisemblablement dans cette aire géographique entre Allemagne et Suisse, voir même dans l'Est de la France.
Ce revers est particulièrement intéressant, avec un annelet pointé entouré d’un annelet perlé, comparable au motif présent devant le bouche de certaines monnaies, comme le bronze YLLICCI classe V....
These coins are sometimes attributed to the Vindelici and sometimes to the Helvetians; they probably circulated in this geographical area between Germany and Switzerland, and even in the East of France. This reverse is particularly interesting, with a pointed ringlet surrounded by a pearl ringlet, comparable to the motif present in front of the mouth of certain coins, such as the bronze YLLICCI class V...
