Commentary

Envoyé extraordinaire du duc de Mantoue, décédé à Paris en 1726.
Il semble plausible que le revers porte les armes de l’épouse du comte et que le jeton fut frappé pour leur mariage mais nous n’avons pu en trouver confirmation.
Envoy Extraordinary of the Duke of Mantua, who died in Paris in 1726. It seems plausible that the reverse bears the arms of the Count's wife and that the token was struck for their marriage, but we have not been able to find confirmation of this.
