Commentary

Ce coffret d’essai a été émis uniquement par paire de 30 Drachmes, présentés dans un écrin blanc, illustrant l’avers et le revers du type qui sera adopté en 1963 pour la circulation.
Une paire similaire a réalisé 7500 euros hors frais dans une vente héritage en 2014, depuis visiblement aucun n’a été proposé à la vente.
La différence avec la frappe courante réside dans la présence de l’inscription “ΑΝΑΜΝΗΣΤΙΚΟΝ” au revers dans la mer Égée.

Cet ensemble présente les cinq rois de Grèce issus de la maison de Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg :
- Georges Ier (1845–1913, règne 1863–1913)
- Constantine I (1868–1923, règne 1913–17, 1920–22)
- Alexandre Ier (1893–1920, règne 1917–20)
- Georges II (1890–1947, règne 1922–24, 1935–47)
- Paul Ier (1901–1964, règne 1947–64).
This trial set was issued only in pairs of 30 Drachmas, presented in a white case, illustrating the obverse and reverse of the type that would be adopted in 1963 for circulation. A similar pair achieved 7,500 euros excluding fees in a heritage sale in 2014, since then apparently none have been offered for sale. The difference with the current strike lies in the presence of the inscription “ANAMNHSTIKON” on the reverse in the Aegean Sea. This set presents the five kings of Greece from the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg: - George I (1845–1913, reigned 1863–1913) - Constantine I (1868–1923, reigned 1913–17, 1920–22) - Alexander I (1893–1920, reigned 1917–20) - George II (1890–1947, reigned 1922–24, 1935–47) - Paul I (1901–1964, reigned 1947–64)
