Exemplaire sur un petit flan bien centré. Beau buste de Gratien. Joli revers de frappe un peu molle. Belle patine verte

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Gratien à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A'a) ; diadème perlé.
Obverse translation : "Dominus Noster Gratianus Pius Felix Augustus", (Notre seigneur Gratien pieux heureux auguste).


Reverse legend : REPARATIO - REI PVB// -|-// ASISC.
Reverse description : Gratien debout à droite, vêtu militairement, tenant le globe nicéphore de la main gauche, relevant de la main droite une femme agenouillée.
Reverse translation : “Reparatio Rei Publicæ”, (Le retour de la République).


Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Jolie fibule d’attache avec un cabochon perlé et trois pendants.

Gratian, born in 359, was appointed august to 8 years. Became "Senior Augustus" after the death of his uncle in 378, he had to share power with his half-brother Valentinian II and Theodosius chose to assist him in the East.
