Commentary
Le demi-souverain a été introduit sous Henri VIII en 1544. La fabrication a été stoppée entre 1604 et 1817. Réapparue sous Georges III, suite à la loi dite ''Great Recoinage'' de 1816, en même temps que le Souverain, la production s’est poursuivie jusqu’en 1926 en Grande-Bretagne et en 1933 en Australie..
The half sovereign was introduced under Henry VIII in 1544. Production ceased between 1604 and 1817. Reappearing under George III, following the Great Recoinage Act of 1816, at the same time as the Sovereign, production continued until 1926 in Great Britain and 1933 in Australia.
