Exemplaire sur un flan large, bien centré des deux côtés, légèrement éclaté à 2 heures au droit. Beau portrait de Géta adulte à l’usure régulière. Revers bien venu à la frappe avec le coin qui se bouche. Patine marron foncé

Obverse description : Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé de Géta César à droite, vu de trois quarts en arrière (A*2).

Reverse description : Athéna casquée et drapée debout à gauche, s’appuyant de la main droite sur un bouclier orné de l’égide et de la main gauche une longue javeline verticale.

Commentary
Beau portrait inhabituel de Géta. Trou de centrage de chaque côté. Au revers, nous remarquons plusieurs lettres bouchées, marque du début d’une cassure de coin.

Augustus
Geta, born on May 26, 189, became Caesar in 198 and the following year received the title of pontifex. He accompanies his father and his brother to Brittany from 208 and is raised to Augustat the following year. When Septimius Severus died in York on February 4, 211, the two brothers brought their father's ashes back to Rome and became co-emperors. But they hate each other. Finally, after a year of joint rule, Caracalla kills his brother in their mother's arms. Geta is dedicated to "damnatio memoriæ" (damnation of memory). His supporters are systematically massacred.
