Exemplaire sur un flan large, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait de joli style et d’expression particulière. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine marron

Commentary
Petit diadème perlé dans les cheveux et natte de cheveux relevée en arrière, ornementée. Ce type semble beaucoup plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux. C’est la première fois que nous présentons un exemplaire à la vente pour cette officine.

Daughter of Diocletian, wife of Galerius - Augusta
Galeria Valeria is the daughter of Diocletian. By adopting Maximien Galère in 293, Diocletian had his daughter married to the latter. Galeria Valeria appears on the coinage after the conference of Carnuntum (11/11/308), but disappears from it after the death of her husband in 311. She remains under the protection of Maximin II Daia. After the disappearance of the latter in 313, she must flee. Licinius had her murdered two years later.
