He would then be legate in Spain (Hispania Ulterior) in 81 BC, then legate in Macedonia in 77-76 before J.-C. before becoming praetor in 75 before J.-C. and finally legate propraetor in Narbonnaise Gaul in 74-72 before J.-C. (according to RE. II, 591, n°5).
