Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. Exemplaire recouvert d’une jolie patine grise de médaillier avec des reflets bleutés et présentant d’assez hauts reliefs. Léger décentrage au revers

Eudes (860-898) is the first Robertian king, son of Robert the Strong (+866), marquis of Neustria. Eudes, Count of Paris from 882, heroically defended the city against the Normans during the siege around 885-887. Elected and crowned in 888, he was crowned at Compiègne. From this coronation, a fight that will last ten years opposes him to Charles III the Simple, the posthumous son of Louis II the Stammerer. Charles was crowned in 893. Eudes chose Charles as his successor and died in 898.
