Lancé au début 2010, ‘America the beautiful’ est un programme de frappe de 56 monnaies commémoratives de 1/4 dollar illustrant les parcs nationaux et d’autres sites nationaux des États-Unis d’Amérique.
La Forêt Nationale de Shawnee est située dans le massif des Ozark et des Shawnee Hills dans le sud de l’Illinois. Elle est devenue Forêt Nationale en 1933.

Launched in early 2010, 'America the Beautiful' is a program of 56 commemorative quarter dollar coins depicting the national parks and other national sites of the United States of America. The Shawnee National Forest is located in the Ozark and Shawnee Hills ranges of southern Illinois. It became a National Forest in 1933. This lot contains one coin from each of the three issuing mints (3 mints in total): Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco.
