Commentary

Our identification of this test strike is of course based on the year, the metal and the diameter. Compared to other test strikes of the BCEAO type or 10 centimes Lagriffoul, we can only think of the development of the strikes of the 2 francs Semeuse in nickel. We have not found any reference to this type of test strike, which seems completely new. It should be noted that the original was certainly made from the original die, which should be noted does not bear any trace of the year.
