Commentary

En 1873, Amédée de Savoie, roi d’Espagne choisi en 1870 par les Cortes abdique. La Ière République instaurée en 1873 est renversée en 1874 par un coup d’état monarchiste.
Finalement, en janvier 1875, la monarchie est restaurée au profit d'Alphonse XII, fils d’Isabelle II qui met en place une monarchie constitutionnelle.
In 1873, Amadeus of Savoy, King of Spain chosen in 1870 by the Cortes, abdicated. The First Republic, established in 1873, was overthrown in 1874 by a monarchist coup d'état. Finally, in January 1875, the monarchy was restored in favor of Alfonso XII, son of Isabella II, who established a constitutional monarchy.
