Médaille en fonte de laiton, de 57 mm sans compter la bélière (sinon 66,5 mm). Patine brune avec petites taches verte au revers et perforation à 6 heures

Commentary


Un portefaix est un porteur chargé de débarquer les marchandises des bateaux. Cet exemplaire est au chiffre de Diane de Poitiers. Il pourrait aussi correspondre aux armes de Ligny-en-Barrois (Meuse, Lorraine) ou de Bréval (Yvelines, Ile-de-France).

Une médaille de portefaix, mais plus récente, pour la ville de Chartres, a été vendue 150€ par i-Numis, et une autre pour la ville de Dijon, par Pierre Crinon..
