EMPIRE Trebizond - JEAN II

(1280-1297)

The Empire of Trebizond was founded by Alexius, grand-son of Andronicus I in 1204. It collapsed in 1461, eight years after the fall of Constantinople. The reign of John II Comnenus is placed between that of Georges (1266-1280) and that of Alexis II (1297-1330).
