Revers de qualité, d'un style un peu lourd, mais complet. Droit un peu mou frappé avec un coin usé. Flan épais et belle patine irisée marron

Historical background
ELUSATES (Area of the Gers)
(3rd-2nd century BC)
Small people of Aquitaine who occupied part of the current department of Gers, corresponding to the former county of Condomois (Comdom). Their capital was Elusa (Eauze, Gers). The Elusates were subjugated in 56 BC by Publius Licinius Crassus, lieutenant of Caesar, the son of Crassus who campaigned in Aquitaine. Sources: Caesar (BG. III, 27).
