Obverse translation : “Imperator Antoninus Augustus”, (L’empereur Antonin auguste).

Reverse


Reverse legend : P M TR P - II C-OS II PP.
Reverse description : Pax (la Paix) courant à gauche, brandissant une branche d'olivier de la main droite et un sceptre court de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestate iterum Consul iterum Pater Patriæ”, (Grand Pontife revêtu de la deuxième puissance tribunitienne consul pour la deuxième fois père de la patrie).

Elagabalus was proclaimed emperor on May 16 218, only august until late June or early July, leaving Syria to reach Rome. Elagabalus stops at Nicomedia, he spent the winter and it gets sick.
