Vienna was the first bishop of Gaul, to 160, occupied by St. Crescent. The city received the title of Primate of Lyon, it readily recalls on currencies. Vienna was proclaimed metropolis of Gaul at the Council of Vienne in 892 and again in the fourteenth century monnayait.
