Commentary
Buste héroïque vu à mi-corps richement décoré. Cuirasse et épaulière cloutées. Ptéryges fines et tombantes. Le globe nicéphore est orné de quatre globules et d’un losange. Au revers le globe posé sur l’autel est orné de quatre gros globules séparés par une croix (globe 16).

On the reverse, the globe placed on the altar is decorated with four large globules separated by a cross (globe 16).

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
