Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais bien centré à l’usure importante, mais parfaitement centré avec les grènetis visibles. Petit buste. Frappe molle au revers. Patine gris foncé

Obverse description : Buste lauré, drappé et cuirassé de Constantin II César à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant, tenant la mappa de la main droite, un sceptre et un globe de la gauche (B*17).
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Flavius Claudius Constantinus Nobilissimus Caesar”, (Notre Seigneur Flavius Claude Constantin très Noble César).

Caesar (1/03/317-9/09/337)

Born in February 317 according to the most recent timeline, the young Constantine received on coins the title of Caesar as his half-brother and his cousin Licinius Crispus and the title of prince of youth. Constantine II was the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" the empire with his brother Constans subjection, Constantius II with the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantine and Constans quarreled. The eldest was eliminated in April 340.
