Exemplaire sur un petit flan bien centré. Beau buste radié de Constantin II. Joli revers. Patine grise avec des reflets métalliques

Obverse description : Buste radié et cuirassé de Constantin II César à gauche drapé sur l’épaule gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant (B11).
Obverse translation : “Constantinus Iunior Nobilissimus Cæsar”, (Constantin le jeune très noble césar).

Reverse legend : BEAT TRA-QVILITAS/ VOT/IS/ XX/ F|B// PLON.
Reverse description : Globe posé sur un autel surmonté de trois étoiles.
Reverse translation : “Beata Tranquillitas/ Votis vicennalibus”, (L'Heureuse tranquillité/ Vœux pour le vingt anniversaire de règne).
Commentary
Poids léger. Avec son argenture superficielle. Couronne radiée. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Épaulière cloutée. Ptéryges fines.

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
