Coments on the condition:
Exemplaire sur un flan légèrement ovale, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait. Joli revers. Patine marron foncé

Obverse legend : D N CONSTA-NS P F AVG.
Obverse description : Buste diadémé de Constans Auguste à gauche, avec cuirasse et paludamentum, vu de trois quarts en avant, tenant un globe de la main droite (A'6a) ; diadème perlé.
Obverse translation : "Dominus Noster Constans Pius Felix Augustus", (Notre Seigneur Constans Pieux et Heureux Auguste).
Reverse
Reverse legend : FEL. TEMP. REPAR-ATIO/ -|- AQP..
Reverse description : Soldat casqué, vêtu militairement, debout à droite, tenant une haste transversale, sortant un personnage de sa hutte ; derrière, un palmier.
Reverse translation : "Felicitas Temporum Reparatio", (Le Retour des Temps Heureux).
Commentary
Poids léger. Rubans perlés aux extrémités bouletées. Globe ornementé. Ptéryges à peine visibles sous le paludamentum. Au revers, la haste est haute entre les deux personnages.

Augustus
Constans was born in 320 and received the title of Caesar on December 25, 333. Made august after September 9, 337 with his two other brothers, Constantine II and Constantius II, he soon became angry with his elder brother, who died in April 340. After the death of his brother, Constans recovers the heritage of Constantine II and obtains the charge of the West. A maiorina is struck on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of Rome in 348, an anniversary recalled by the reverse legend "the Return of Happy Times". Constans is assassinated at the beginning of the year 350.
