D’après nos recherches, il semble que Joseph d’Albert était un religieux dominicain nommé inquisiteur général du Saint-Office à Avignon en 1709. Il exerça ses fonctions au sein du palais de l’Inquisition, également appelé « palais de l’office », jusqu’à sa mort à Avignon.
