Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais bien centré à l’usure importante, mais lisible et identifiable. Patine noire légèrement granuleuse

Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges fines. Notre exemplaire semble complètement inédit et non recensé avec la Niké à droite. Ce type ne doit pas être confondu avec le monnayage de Nicopolis d’Épire. Manqu à tous les ouvrages consultés.

Commodus succeeded his father Marc Aurèle, who died in Vienna on March 17, 180. He hastened to conclude a truce with the Germanic tribes and then abandoned public life. The Empire was successively governed by the prefects of the Praetorium, Perennis from 182 to 185, Cléandre from 185 to 190, who were both assassinated. Commodus suffocated on the night of December 31, 192.
