Ce triens présente de hauts reliefs et pas de traces apparentes de circulation. Des aspérités de surface liées à la préparation du flan sont à signaler, mais elles apparaissent très localisées.

Commentary

Triens de la plus grande rareté frappé avec les mêmes coins de droit et de revers que l’exemplaire découvert à Mauriac en 1860, figurant dans la collection Chassaing en 1892 et acheté par le Cabinet des médailles de la BnF en 1955. Cet exemplaire est beaucoup mieux conservé que l’exemplaire du Cabinet des médailles et permet une lecture complète des légendes, dont le nom du monétaire AICIRICIVS dont seules quelques lettres étaient lisibles.
Triens of the greatest rarity struck with the same obverse and reverse dies as the example discovered in Mauriac in 1860, appearing in the Chassaing collection in 1892 and purchased by the Cabinet des médailles of the BnF in 1955. This example is much better preserved than the example in the Cabinet des médailles and allows a complete reading of the legends, including the name of the mint AICIRICIVS of which only a few letters were legible
