Obverse description : Représentation de divers éléments et personnages représentatifs de la Bretagne, dont le chevalier Bertrand du Guesclin. Joueur de cornemuse et lutins à gauche, marin et divers bateaux à droite avec des profils masculins dans des médaillons à droite. Bretonne tenant un calvaire et un bouquet de genêts et Anne de Bretagne tenant une maquette du château de Nantes. Blasons bretons (Bretagne, Nantes, Brest et Rennes) à l’exergue à côté d’une hermine. Représentation du roi Arthur à droite, tenant une lance et un bouclier. Signé : R. DELAMARRE.

Elle est l’oeuvre de Raymond Delamarre 1er Grand Prix de Rome”.

The medal is housed in a blue cardboard box with an insert describing the plaque and stating: “On the occasion of its eighth anniversary, the JOUVE & ASSOCIES company is pleased to offer you this medal celebrating Brittany. It is the work of Raymond Delamarre, winner of the 1st Grand Prix de Rome.”
