Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise. Quelques motifs appairassent en négatif sur la face opposée

D. Legros thinks that the viscounty of Châteaudun was under the influence of the counts of Blois and Chartres. Under Thibaut V le Bon, three viscounts succeeded each other in Châteaudun: Hugues IV (1136-1166), Geoffroy IV (1166-1183) and Hugues V (1183-1215). The coin becomes Viscount from Geoffroy V (1215-1235) in 1218.
