Thibaut de Champagne, born May 30, 1201 in Troyes, died July 14, 1253 in Pamplona, was count of Champagne from 1201 to 1253 (under the name of Thibaut IV), and king of Navarre from 1234 to 1253 (under the name of Thibaut I). He bore the nicknames of Thibaut le Posthume then Thibaut le Chansonnier.
