Commentary

D’après Fontenay (p.339) “les jetons distribués en 1648 coûtèrent 3.500 livres. Dans la distribution qui fut faite le 26 mars de cette année, on donna une bourse de cent jetons d’argent et une de rosette [cuivre] à chacun de MM. les présidents, maîtres et gens du roi ; et à chacun des conveneurs, auditeurs et greffiers en chef, et receveurs des épices, une demi-bourse de jetons d’argent et une entière de rosette (...)”.
According to Fontenay (p.339) “the tokens distributed in 1648 cost 3,500 livres. In the distribution which was made on March 26 of that year, a purse of one hundred silver tokens and one rosette [copper] token was given to each of the presidents, masters and king's men; and to each of the convenors, auditors and chief clerks, and receivers of spices, a half purse of silver tokens and a whole rosette token (...)”
