Exemplaire sur un petit flan court sur les légendes. Très beau buste de Caracalla de haut relief. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Patine de collection ancienne

Reverse description : Aigle debout de face sur une torche tournée à droite sur laquelle s’enroule un serment, les ailes déployées, les pattes écartées, tournant la tête à gauche, tenant une couronne dans son bec.

After the murder of Geta, Caracalla was the decree "Memoriae damnatio" his brother. The "Constitution Antoniniana" was promulgated in 212. All inhabitants of the Empire became Roman citizens. The following year, he began a campaign in Germany and won many victories over the Germans, and the Goths Iapyges. He received the title of "Germanicus". The end of the reign was marked by 215 monetary reform and the creation of the Antoninianus. Caracalla began a final campaign against the Parthians. He was assassinated after celebrating his vicennalia.
