Exemplaire sur un flan large, bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait. Revers de style fin. Recouvert d’une épaisse patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés et bleutés

(163-130 BC)
Ariarathes V, son of Ariarathes IV Eusebes succeeded his father in 163 BC He had to face several competitors during his reign, including Orophernes supported by Demetrius I of Syria. Ariarathes was restored with the help of the Romans. He died in 130 BC fighting against Aristonikos of Pergamon. Under his reign, the kingdom of Cappadocia allied with the Romans and the kingdom of Pergame reached its peak. The name of the capital changes to become Eusebeia.
