Obverse description : La Prudence assise à droite devant le bâtiment de la Bourse, tenant un parchemin dans sa main. Devant elle un angelot, une corne d'abondance sur l'épaule, déverse des pièces dans une cassette. Signé O. Roty.

Reverse legend : 1572 - 1898 // M.R CH. CHABERT / AGENT DE CHANGE HONORAIRE.

Reverse description : Vue aérienne du Pont au Change et de l'Ile de la Cité. Au dessus, un serpent se regardant dans un miroir qu'il étreint.

Reverse translation : Elle préserve et accroît.

Commentary

Mr Ch. Chabert, de son nom complet Pierre Ange "Charles" Chabert, (1849-1915) fut fait chevalier de la Légion d’honneur suite au conflit de 1870-1871. Il reçut cette médaille pour l’exercice de sa profession (agent de change).
Mr. Ch. Chabert, whose full name was Pierre Ange \\\"Charles\\\" Chabert, (1849-1915) was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor following the conflict of 1870-1871. He received this medal for the exercise of his profession (stockbroker).
