(1349-1361)

Philippe Rouvres, grand-son of the Duke Eudes IV, succeeded his grandfather in April 1349 while he was still a minor. The regency was entrusted to Jeanne of Burgundy, his great-aunt who died in December 1349. A second period of regency opened under his mother, Jeanne de Boulogne, wife of John of Normandy, the future king of France under the name of John II called the Good.
