Ce denier est frappé sur un flan irrégulier et est recouvert d’une patine grise. Exemplaire présentant des reliefs nets ce qui est rare pour ce type monétaire. La croix du droit apparaît légèrement en négatif au revers

(1298-1315)

Until the beginning of the 13th century, the seigneury of Mehun-sur-Yèvre depended on the archbishops of Bourges. After passing into the hands of the House of Courtenay, the seigneury of Mehun returned to the House of Artois following the marriage of Amicie de Courtenay with Robert II of Artois (1252-1257). Robert III (1298-1315) was the last lord to strike at Mehun-sur-Yèvre.
