Reverse description : Croix fleuronnée cantonnée au 1 d’une épée, au 4 d’une F.

Commentary

Variété sans besant au-dessus de l’écu de Béarn. Faustin Poey d’Avant signale cette variété d’après un exemplaire dessiné par Gros de Boze et repris à la fin du XVIIIe siècle âr Tobiesen Duby indiquant que ceux-ci ont probablement classé cette monnaie en argent : “Je crois que c’est une erreur, et qu’elle doit être en or” (PA, II, p. 167). Cet écu d’or le confirme.
