BACTRIA - Bactrian kingdom - Demetrius I.

Demetrius I, associated to the throne by his father during his lifetime succeeded him around 200 BC). Tradition has it that he assisted his father during the siege of Bactria in 208 BC and has served as an intermediary between Antiochus III and his father. Demetrius led a brilliant campaign in India against the empire Mauraya full decomposition. It was his son who succeeded him Euthydemos II.
