Cette monnaie a été frappée pour l’inauguration du bâtiment du parlement à Camberra en 1927 en remplacement du parlement de Melbourne. Dès l’origine, le ‘Old Parliament House’ était un bâtiment provisoire mais il servit plus de 60 ans car il ne fut remplacé qu’en 1988..
