Bronze bien identifiable, de frappe un peu molle au droit et plus décentrée au revers. Patine hétérogène

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Obverse description : Tête à gauche, la chevelure en rouleaux parallèles, un collier de perles au cou. Un annelet rayonnant devant la bouche ; grènetis.

Reverse

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Reverse description : Cheval bondissant à droite, la crinière et la queue perlée, un annelet pointé au-dessus et un petit sanglier à droite au-dessus. Grènetis.

Commentary

Ce type est très rare et cet exemplaire est dans un état de conservation assez exceptionnel. Un exemplaire était conservé à la BN et un second au Musée de Lyon. Avant le n° 458 de MONNAIES 57, le seul autre exemplaire que nous avions eu, avec ce type exacte de coiffure, était le n° 1159 de MONNAIES XV. Classé par erreur aux Suessions, ce bronze semble devoir être restitué aux Aulerques Eburovices.
This type is very rare and this example is in a fairly exceptional state of conservation. One example was kept at the BN and a second at the Musée de Lyon. Before n° 458 of MONNAIES 57, the only other example we had, with this exact type of hairstyle, was n° 1159 of MONNAIES XV. Classified by mistake in the Suessions, this bronze seems to have to be returned to the Aulerques Eburovices
