Exemplaire sur un flan ovale et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait de Rome, de style fin, bien venu à la frappe. Joli revers finement détaillé. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

(148 BC)
In 148 BC, Sp. Postumius Albinus Magnus and L. Calpurnius Piso Caesonius were consuls. The Third Punic War began the previous year. Cato the Elder died before his dream of the destruction of Carthage came true. In 148, the consul Calpurnius Piso continued the siege of the African metropolis, while Andriscus, who claimed to be the son of Perseus, was beaten in Macedonia by Quintus Caecilius Metellus who took the nickname Macedonian. The Via Postumia connects Aquileia to Verona and Cremona.
