Coments on the condition:
Denier sur un flan carré, avec les types légèrement décentrés et de frappe hétérogène un peu plus molle par endroits. Patine grise, avec quelques zones granuleuses

Commentary


Les deniers mérovingiens frappés sur des flans quadrangulaires sont plutôt rares, mais le phénomène est bien attesté. Le n° 250 et 251 du trésor de Bais sont sur des flans rectangles et les n° 323-327 semblent être des flan non frappés découpés dans une tôle d’argent.
Le doublage de la lettre C avec CC au droit pourrait rappeler certaines légendes présentes sur les triens de QUENTOVIC.
