Commentary

Nous n’avons pas pu retrouvé d’exemplaire similaire dans les différents ouvrages consultés. Le style, avec des lettres assez molles et un bourrelet extérieur pourrait nous orienter vers un atelier de la région messine. Ce type de droit est habituellement associé à un revers avec OS ou SO, mais pas avec une croix ! Le seul exemplaire que nous avons retrouvé correspondant précisément à notre denier est passé dans la vente Cahn 79, n° 1190 (14 décembre 1932).
